The veteran actress Sridevi died on 24th February in Dubai where she went to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding with her family. The forensic report stated that she died due to accidental drowning after losing consciousness. Her mortal remains were brought to India after the three-day long procedure of post-mortem and investigation. The news of her untimely death has sent shock waves in her family and film fraternity. In this tough time Arjun Kapoor and Anshula, stepchildren of Sridevi, stood by Boney Kapoor as he reached Mumbai with Sridevi’s mortal remains.
Arjun left no stone unturned to play the role of a perfect son in his stepmother’s final journey.
Arjun Kapoor returned from Amritsar to be with his family during the testing time. He was shooting there for “Namastey England” with Pariniti Chopra in Amritsar. Anshula rushed to be by her step-sisters Janhvi and Khushi, who were in India at the time of Sridevi’s demise. Arjun Kapoor took charge of all the procedures and was seen playing a doting son.He left no stone unturned to play the role of a perfect son in his stepmother’s final journey. He stood right behind his father and sisters Khushi and Janhvi.
Boney married Sridevi in 1996, nine years after the queen of Indian cinema starred in his production Mr India opposite Anil Kapoor. The couple shares two daughters Janhvi and Khushi together. Mona, the first wife of Boney Kapoor and mother of Arjun and Anshula, passed away in 2012.
In media interactions, Arjun revealed that he shared a cordial relationship with Sridevi and had never wished bad for anyone. Talking about their relationship in TV chat show, he said,
“It’s very cordial. I respect anybody in my father’s life the same way because he would expect me to do that. So I respect her and don’t wish ill towards anyone. That’s how I follow…”
It was indeed a tough time for the Kapoor family and people and social media appreciated the way Arjun supported his father and step-sisters.
